Love After Baby Is Hard
Maya and Ben had a small fight. It was about a spoon.
Maya was very tired. Her baby just slept. She was eating cold spag fast.
Ben came home from work. He said, No clean spoons? The house is not clean.
Maya felt sad. She said, I work all day too. I take care of the baby. I do not sleep. I am so tired.
Ben looked at her. He saw she was crying. He said, Sorry. I did not know.
That day, they were quiet. Both were tired.
In the morning, Ben sent her a message. It said, I see you. I will help more.
In the evening they sat together. They were still tired, but they felt close again.
Many moms and dads feel like this. It is normal.
You can keep your love strong. But how?
A baby brings joy. But it also brings less sleep, less time, and more stress. Many couples fight more after a baby. Thid is how to stay close:
1. Talk in small moments:
You may not have long talks now. That is okay.
Talk while feeding the baby. Talk while cooking. Ask: "How are you today, really?"
Small talks keep love alive.
2. Share the work:
Tired parents fight more. Make a simple plan.
Who will wake at night? Who will cook? Who will rest?
When work is fair, love grows.
3. Say thank you often:
Say it for small things.
Thank you for holding the baby.
Thank you for making food.
Kind words heal tired hearts.
4. Make time for just you two:
You do not need a big date night.
Have tea together after baby sleeps. Hold hands. Watch a short show.
10 minutes together is better than none.
5. Fight kind, not hard:
You will disagree. Do not shout or blame.
Say: I feel tired. I need help.
Not: You never help me.
Speak soft, even when tired.
6. Ask for help:
You do not have to do it all alone.
Ask family or friends to help. Sleep when you can.
A rested mom and dad love better.
Summary
You are not just mom and dad now. You are still husband and wife.
